Not a empty wall anymore

Well...it's only taken over a year to get something up on the big wall in our living room. But it was well worth the wait. Minor details still to come, but it's something.

Funny little monkey

She really does resemble that monkey on her shirt....definitely in the cheeks and even more so in the personality.

More Twins?

Seriously you two...listen to me and stay in your stroller. I don't know why my mommy thinks having twins is that hard. You just tell them to stay and they stay.

Then you just move them to the swing as their next activity. They never cry. I would bet Drew and I didn't cry much either when we were this age.

Feeding them at the same time can be slightly tricky.

But that's when I call in for reinforcements and my big brother comes and helps feed the fussy one.

Conclusion: Having twins is easy.

Tagged

So I was tagged by Kimmy and I am never one to shy away from a "challenge" So the instructions are as follows:

Here are the rules:
1. Choose the 4th folder where your pictures are stored.
2. Select the 4th picture (I had to also select the 4th album inside the folder)
3. Explain the picture
4. Tag 3 other people

This is a picture of Lilly and Drew on a beautiful day back in September of last year. Nothing special, just them being cute and sharing a chair in the sunshine.

I TAG anyone who is listed on my blog stalking list. You know who you are.

PS I am sure there are some of you relieved that this wasn't another entry about Twilight.

PPS But for those of you that enjoy Twilight...take a deep breath...

The beauty of photoshop

For the full effect please click on the picture below

Sorry for my lack of computer "know-how" to actually enlarge the image...but I was proud I successfully scanned it in correctly. I have to thank Elissa for designing/giving me this priceless gift that IS the book mark above. And yes..that is a direct quote from myself on the book mark that I tell all my friends that choose to indulge in these books. Maybe I should sell these?? We just insert your face over mine.

Just like daddy

Nothing like a warm hat and cup of coffee(or chocolate milk)on a cold day.

Subtle, yet still making a point

For those of you who share in my "problem"(as some people have labeled it) You will understand why I purchased this shirt. There is a group in this society that will really read and care about what this shirt means, starting a conversation and we will be friends from that point on.

And there are others who will watch this video and think I am an awful mother who is brainwashing her children and I say to you...do you see the puzzles and books in the background?? We are learning about all sorts of things in this house, and the characters in Twilight are just part of the curriculum.

PS Seriously catch that Drew actually said Rosalie before I even had to remind him who she was...making me so proud. I am proud of Lilly who also gave it her "all" and participated well beyond my expectations. She and I will one day really discuss these books in depth. That is a long way off...like 18 years off.

The Golden Gate Bridge

One day we will walk across it, but for now, the kids have just driven across it. They both were so interested in seeing this big bridge.

Drew's sweet and excited reaction

Lilly's...I am trying to be too cool for the camera, but I like the bridge reaction.

Field trip to San Francisco

These pictures are long over due. We visited the SF aquarium at the end of December when Todd was still on vacation. So it is just three weeks late...big deal. We met the Fredy family at Pier 39 and it was a day full of new and exciting firsts for Lilly and Drew.

Lilly's first time seeing a.....

SHARK!!!!

Todd and Drew enjoying the sunshine and a harbor full of boats. Drew(no joke) can tell you the different type of boats around the dock thanks to Baby Einstein. He told us there were Sail boats, tug boats, speed boats, Ocean liners...well there wasn't really ocean liners, but the biggest boats he could find were Ocean Liners to him.

Drew and Lilly were first time observers to the sea lions barking up a storm. Lilly insisted they were "doggies on the water"

No Joke

I did NOT enhance this picture in any way. This is exactly what I saw when I went to get Lilly after her nap yesterday.

The face just fits the hair better in this picture

Look what I have....

These actually were in my possession Sunday. So to be truthful(as all of you know I am)I already finished New Moon and am half way through Eclipse. So big deal if New Moon was a 563 page book.

Since I have gotten the rest of this series, there a few things I have forgotten about:
1. Eating*
2. Sleeping*
3. Bathing(well, technically a bath is bathing and you can still read in the bath, so it is a win-win)
4. Laundry
5. Blog Stalking(I am not up to speed about all my blogging friends out there)

* No I am not trying to turn into a vampire for those of you who have read the books and see the strikingly funny similarities.

Things I have NOT forgotten about:
1. Todd
2. Drew and Lilly
3. Breathing
4. Listening to Twilight Soundtrack
5. Planning book discussion meetings

Todd did seriously ask me after his vacation is over if I would be okay to stay with Drew and Lilly when he went back to work. Sick isn't it?

Practice makes perfect...or so they say

This is just one of the many activities we did when Daddy was home on vacation. We still need some practice, but we can do two full revolutions of the pedals on our own...which then moves us about an inch at a time. Let's just say it takes us about 2 hours to make it around the block.

Confessions and an Addiction

So I think my husband is planning my intervention as I have seen the movie Twilight 3 times in four days. Not to mention staying up hours after everyone has gone to bed to read as many pages as possible.

Yes, I went by myself. Laugh all you want people. Not only that, but as I am walking out the door to the movie, I have in my right hand the second book in the series and in my left hand the sound track. I am thinking I might have a few minutes to read before the movie starts and I want to listen to the sound track on the way so I know exactly where each song is in the movie.

But to all of you that think I am crazy and absurd in this addiction, let me just tell you this. I walk in the theater to find a well-lit spot to read and start to glance at the three other girls around me. Two seats to my right, a women reading Twilight...ALONE. A row in front of me and to my right, another girl reading New Moon(almost in the exact same spot as me...I checked)ALONE, and lastly a girl one row in front of me to my left that has similar intentions as the rest of us. Let's just say I made friends. And for the record the age span in our little "meet-at-the-movie-theater-alone-book-club" was a 19 year old, 24 year old, an almost 30 year old(me), and a 41 year old. I am not the only one with the problem.

I still believe I am normal.

And I love my husband.

Christmas with Granwa and Papa

Yes...I know...very tardy Christmas pictures and I have already explained my excuses, but I have heard that technically the season lasts until January 6th, so I am within the time limits.

We got this fun see-saw from our Great Grandma Lene and Great Grandpa Coach.(Drew seriously calls him Coach and it is so adorable) We are trying to figure how to make it rock without the help of adults and that task is turning out to be more challenging than we suspected.

Granwa and Papa got us Our first tricycles!! We will race as soon as we are capable.

We were very thankful for all the fun great gifts we got this Christmas. We got lots of stylish clothes, play dough, bike helmets, True Disney movies, and many other things that we can't remember right now. Thanks to everyone who knows us.

Christmas at Nana and Boppa's

The big gift of the evening that was "addressed" for Drew, but has really been a gift for both of them. Many thanks to Nana and Boppa.

Lilly opening a very fun and now a favorite game called Elefun. I'll have to post some footage of the two of them playing this game. Thanks Mamie, Sjef, Matchu, and Micah

Drew and his obsession with Fire Trucks continues. We tried to hide it, so he would open more gifts, but he somehow found it every time we moved it and insisted on opening it. Thanks auntie YaYa.

Hmmm, are we a little too close to the Grinch here?

All the happy cousins on Christmas after the puking subsided :-)
