Happy Easter!

The best present the Easter bunny could bring for these two is each other......

It's the greenest day of the year

On St. Patty's day..we mix in some love and some looking for leprechauns. Have I mentioned that I am liking the color green more and more? Maybe its because Lilly's eyes really have turned more green than any other color lately....or is it because of what she is wearing(which is lots more verde)?

Please compliment Lilly on her St. Patty's crown the next time you see her. She worked very hard on it. :-) This hat is the closest thing to a princess tiara that she will be seen in.

Maybe the leprechauns are in the tree?

Love...

More love in a weird on the lips brother and sister sort of way

Are the leprechauns to our right?

Let's just look at each other and laugh.

They only found gold coins left behind by the leprechauns...maybe next year we will have a sighting.

I am so glad I had my camera.

You know..I have been bad about having my camera with me lately. It used to be the first thing I packed when going out for the day, and now it sits in the drawer yelling to come out.

But I am glad I had it today because these series of shots are too sweet.

She just adores him....enough said

The spontaneous hand-hold...usually initiated by Lilly

It was like Lilly's special day- flowers and Drew liked her today(so sad when it is the opposite)

I don't do enough black and white.

When they are getting along....

I walk in on them sharing a chair and Drew is literally reading to Lilly(and she is enjoying it) Drew has ridiculous retention skills. I had just got this book at the library that day and had read it once to them. I just got the end of the book, but he read the entire book to her accurately. Such a scholar.

As you can see at the end of the video, the love never lasts longer than a fleeting moment :-) But I will take all the moments I can get these days and fall asleep thinking about those loving moments.

Got to love hand-me-downs

They are loving this "new" toy....surprising they both like to be on it at the same time. Great! I will gladly support sharing the same toy at the same time, a concept that is still not mastered in this house yet.

I swear she did not push him. That was Drew being a crashing-sound-effect-making boy.

Lilly here doing her best impression of an I drank too much at the pool party look.

I love when they share happy moments like these....

Happy Birthday America

Holidays mean Daddy's are home more than normal and twins get to go to BBQ's, big parks, ride trains, attach balloons to our wrists, play baseball(really, what is the 4th of July without some baseball?), and stay up late.

Why is a good family picture such a rarity these days?

Waiting patiently for the train to round the corner. You can feel and witness their eagerness to board the train in their stillness...toddlers are not still too often :-)

The face off between toddler with a wooden bat and two dogs. All parties want the same thing.....THE BALL. I am proud to report no dogs were injured in any way during this exchange. She really views them as her close friends.

Just for a quick giggle

True Story

* Let me start off my saying that Todd and I have been making an effort to say prayers with the kids before they go to bed at night. Just a little night time ritual where the kids name everyone they possibly know and we pray for them.

Back to the story now. I have been really trying to work with Lilly on her colors lately. Drew, as seen in a previous post, knows his colors pretty darn well if you ask his biased mother. So the concentration has been on my "youngest" child in the color department lately.

Setting: High Chair after dinner. Lilly is asking for an otter pop and the light bulb goes on in my head as a great opportunity to work on colors. I proceed to grab a pink otter pop out of the fridge. My mom is over and we decide to "go to work"

Grandma: "What color is this Lilly?"

Lilly: "Bluuuuue?" (Drew sitting next to her in his high chair is saying the correct answer every time the color question is asked by the way)

Me: "This is a pink popsicle Lilly. Can you say pink?"

Lilly: "Pink."

Grandma: "Good Lilly. This is a pink popsicle. What color is the popsicle?"

Lilly: "Bluuuuuue?"

Me: "This is pink. Say Pink Lilly."

Lilly: "Pink." (this conversation is repeated in this order many times until my mom takes a different approach)

Grandma: "What color is it Lilly?" (my mom is very lightly whispering and mouthing the word pink to Lilly)

Lilly: In a whisper voice, "Piiinnk?"(nodding her head up and down in a yes nod)

Everyone in the room ignites in a roar of screams and clapping that Lilly got the color correctly.

Drew: Screaming as loud as all of us with his arms in the air yells, *"AMEN!"

The Kiss

Are you ready for this kiss?

Drew is thinking, "maybe I am having second thoughts about this kissing thing"
Lilly is thinking, "not me"
