Just the other day I heard Drew actually attempting his own version of twinkle twinkle little star....he really likes to put the emphasis on "what you ARRRRRRRRE." I proceeded to ask him to sing other songs we sing often and to my absolute surprise and delight, he knew quite a few "renditions" of a few classics. But today here is his version of twinkle twinkle.

We are back in business....
I am happy to announce my computer is back with it's mama. Oh how I have missed you computer. I have many posts and lots of catch up, but all can not be done at once. Let me start with something that is long overdue.
My grandpa(or as Drew and Lilly like to call him papa coach) got inducted into the Santa Rosa Junior College Hall of Fame a few weekends ago. He was an athlete and a coach and this honor is long overdue in my opinion. Here are a few pictures from the night.
Some of my cousins at Table 6 where we sat...right in front by the way. Christie, Cammie, and Brian.

I love getting in a dress. Mom's don't do that enough, you know?

My handsome husband

My very young looking(and young at heart) parents. Yes...yes...I know I look just like my mom.

The man of the hour, Mr. Len Read. We were so proud of him and he was very touched(as you can tell from this profile picture) to be honored. All the family was there besides my brother and one aunt, and that is quite a challenging thing to do with having such a large family. There was much love in the room for him that night...just like any night my grandpa is any room.

What happened to the Petersens?
I promise we are all alive and well, but my computer has been in the "shop" and I feel so disconnected from the world without it. I begged Todd to bring his computer home from work just so I could stop having withdrawls for a few hours. I have to say though...I am quite a bit more productive during nap time without having it around. Especially if productive means talking on the phone instead of talking through e-mails. Hopfeully it won't be much longer....

How many people have lied to me lately?
Okay...so I have no pictures to prove it and I will describe in detail at a later date how this past Saturday unfolded. But I would like to just say/brag what a tremendously thoughtful and loving husband I have. He pulled off the only true surprise that I can remember so far in my life(well...besides when the doctor said,"so how pregnant do you want to be? you've got two in there.") There are so many things that make much more sense to me like why majority of my friends weren't ever answering their phones when I called or calling me back this past week. My Todd did good. Exceedingly better than good actually. More to come...

I am so lucky he picked me.

Do you all know what tomorrow means?

That this beautiful slice of heaven comes out on DVD TOMORROW...tomorrow...I love you tomorrow...you're only a day away!
So weird how that coincides with the Twilight party happening in another two weeks. Have I not talked about this yet? Pardon me. The party that Elissa and I are hosting, planning, executing, participating in, and dreaming about since we finished the books is just weeks away. Next to my wedding day and birth of my children, this party will be on the list as one of the best days of my life. I am kind of joking, but kind of not honestly.

Freedom
So the gate that used to reside at the base of the stairs is officially gone(it actually has been gone for a while now) Drew and Lilly feel like they have a entire new space to explore. And although they seem much happier...more surface area for toddlers to roam is more mess for the people in charge. One more step toward independence. Kind of..they are still only two.

Audtions for the circus
This is our gymnastics/circus class in Healdsburg. We seem to enjoy the things more realted to the circus aspect of the class.

As soon as Drew gets to class, he runs straight to these rubber rings and doesn't ever really put it down the entire time. Parents come up to me in class and say, "Is that your son with the yellow ring? He keeps telling me to 'Watch this'...'Watch this'" He proceeds to throw it up in the air and I cross my fingers that it doesn't come down and crash into some poor innocent kids face.

Lilly is asking for one of these in her room next birthday.

What happened to my youth?

Todd just stumbled across this picture and I seriously gasped at how young I looked. As the big 30 is fast approaching(March 18th if you are wondering) I wonder has having kids aged me that much? In this picture is my nephew Matthew who is almost 8 years old....so you can do the math seeing how young he is in this picture. I ask again....why do I look and feel so much older when I look in the mirror on this Sunday night?

Lucky us!
We are so fortunate to have a friend like Melody who captures moments like these of our family. Drew and Lilly got their first taste of real candy with these giant lollipops in a sea of giant mustard plants. We had such a great time getting these shots!

I know..let's do arts and crafts on these rainy days
There is nothing like tape, glue, puff balls, eye balls, and pipe cleaners on a rainy day. Just in case any one is wondering..the warning on pipe cleaners says for ages 8 and above which I thought was incorrect....but those pipe cleaners are sharp. Be warned and just ask Lilly next time you see her.
