Tagged (TWICE!!!)

Okay...well I am making an exception to my normal posting of Drew and Lilly's lives to respond to two friends of mine that have "tagged" me to reveal some facts actually about me...so here it goes:

WHAT I WAS DOING TEN YEARS AGO:
1998- Studying for upcoming finals during my first year at SRJC (great school!)Watching plenty of SRJC baseball, along with the major leagues. I think the Giants actually had a team worth watching back then...ahhh, yes Shawn Estes comes to mind. Anyone who knew me back then, knows of my Shawn Estes obsession(left handed pitcher for the giants...#55)Don't ask my husband how far the obsession went...he will exaggerate stories. Dancing in a jazz/contemporary company and performing at an assortment of different venues. Driving a dangerously small little two seater car. Still living at home. Exercising regularly. Sleeping in on the weekends until my stomach woke me up to say..time for some yummy breakfast.

WHAT I WAS DOING FIVE YEARS AGO:
2003- Just had met my future husband(end of February)and KNEW he would make me happy for the rest of my life. You know what, I think this was, yes, it was the month Todd took on me on a very thoughtful adventure not knowing of my motion sickness curse. He took me on a glider ride(small plane with no engine...just powered by the wind) that ultimately left me puking in a bag inches away from his face, and puking the entire drive home from middle town. And we all know how sickening that drive is. He says I asked for him to pull over, and I didn't even have the courtesy to get out and puke. I just opened the door and swung my head out. Hey, if he still was interested in me after that day, then I knew he could hang in with me for the long haul. Besides puking five years ago, I was also finishing up getting my teaching credential at Dominican University in San Rafael.

WHAT I WAS DOING A YEAR AGO:
2007- Well, Todd and I hit the ground running and were married and already had our twins by this time last year. Unfortunately, this time last year does not bring as many happy memories. Let's see...Lilly was finally healthy and home from her stay in the hospital for pneumonia. We were nervously awaiting Drew's surgery on his skull that was just around the corner in Sacramento. A year ago was filled with many sleepless nights, lots of prayer we were doing the right thing for Drew, and trying to find an exact blood donor match for Drew in case of a blood transfusion after the surgery...which he did end up needing and thanks to the perfect blood of Uncle Jeff, Drew made a full recovery.

WHAT I WAS DOING YESTERDAY:
April 20, 2008- Enjoying my husband home from a weekend away. Taking a nap. Wiping the runny nose of Drew, who is coming down with my cold that I gave him. Which means what I'll be doing tomorrow is wiping Lilly's snotty nose and have two kids with colds. Back to what I was doing yesterday- Taking a walk with my kids, playing at the park, checking other peoples blogs which has also been called blog stalking :)

THINGS I ENJOY:
The laughter of my children. Laughing so hard you almost pee your pants(almost is the operative word here) Baskin and Robbins Vanilla ice cream. Deep fried green beans from Zin. Anywhere tropical because most likely that means I am or am in the process of being tan. Christmas and everything that goes with it...buying and giving gifts, church, the yummy food, wrapping presents, and yes I like getting presents too, and that is okay to admit.

FIVE TV SHOWS I WATCH:(sorry more than five about to be listed)
Probably shouldn't get me started in TV shows...The Office(love Jim and Pam like to a stalker degree) Grey's Anatomy, The Bachelor, American Idol, So you think you can Dance, Big Brother, John and Kate Plus Eight, The Soup, Live with Regis and Kelly, Oprah, Lost, Friday night Lights, Survivor, Project Runway, Saturday Night Live...hmmmmm do you see a reality show TV trend here? Just a disclaimer, Todd does not watch all of these shows with me...just some of them.

FIVE THINGS I HATE:
Being sick or anyone in my family being sick. Hospitals. Sorry girls, but I did not like being pregnant. Traffic(usually ignites my motion sickness trigger). And lastly, sharks.

FIVE BIGGEST JOYS IN LIFE:
Todd, Drew, Lilly, (not our cat Frankie), all of my friends/family, and church.

I TAG ANYONE WHO READS THIS BLOG ON A REGULAR BASIS AND HAS BLOGS OF THEIR OWN...IF I HAVE TO CALL THEM OUT THEN HERE IT GOES: LAURA, SUMMER, AIMEE, KIMMY, AMY WEDGE, CHERIE, AND ELISSA(which will make this her 3rd time being tagged)

very enjoyable petersen. i saw this on jasmin's blog while i was blog stalking. i attempted to write one for myself and realized that at the 10 & 5 year increments my life was either insanely boring or i was spending time doing things i probably shouldn't write about in a public-i-don't-know-who-will-read-this-forum.
rest assured, i'll continue to read everyone else's though as i continue to stalk.

It still amazes me how alike we are, even after knowing each other for 28 years and living so far away. You'll see what I mean when I do your tag...by the way, does singing Amy Grant or Fresh Prince songs on the ski lift bring back any memories?

Why are you so freaking hilarious???? Finally you responded. Now we have to all ride Elissa to see how long it takes her.
By the way, do you get anything done with all those tv shows that you are committed to?

Good job Linz. I especially like your motion sickness story. Any man that will hold your hair while you vomit during that stage of a relationship- will be by your side for life...
